After I had a somewhat hectic day yesterday, we were looking forward to a quiet day as we headed towards Dos Pocos, which is a small ranch around 100 km south of Trevelin. We are back on Ruta 3 heading south again. The long straight endless road stretches out in front of us and all we can do is engage cruise control and push through the miles. Trelew is a Welsh settlement town which states back several hundred years to when Welsh immigrants arrived and set up ranches for sheep. today the Welsh tradition is alive and kicking in the shape of Welsh afternoon tea rooms which are scattered in the quiet suburbs of the town alongside the river.

After a short stop to look at the huge dinosaur exhibit outside of town. This area is where they have found many dinosaur skeletons some of the biggest ever to be found.
We arrived for our Welsh tea about an hour before they opened, but I had been complaining that my gearlever was a little bit sticky and annoying. Tim immediately jumped into I’m a mechanic mode and was on his back under the bike fiddling. We actually found that the gear leaver was slightly out of alignment and was wearing the ball socket on the attachment. So Tim was able to realign this and now the bike is running much better.
By the time this was finished we were more than ready for a Welsh tea and we entered the tea room to find a proper British style tea room with Welsh flags hanging everywhere. They served us pots of tea, scones, cakes and bread and jam in what was a massive sugar delight. We waddled out about an hour later and just about to go on our bikes vowing that this could not be something that happened very regularly. We now had approximately 100 km to run so we stopped and got fuel and enough spare fuel for tomorrow where we will not be seeing any petrol stations.

We arrived at the Estancia around about 5:30 and were welcomed by six dogs and very nice people who showed us our lovely rooms. We are the only two people staying here but they are preparing and a asado barbecue for us tonight and we sat on the terrace like a couple of cowboys in our rocking chairs drinking a beer and watching the sun go down. I launched the drone to give an idea of the surrounding area and the remoteness of where we are. An incredible way to finish what has been a fun day.
