The Airport

Todays blog will be a short one, as there is only so much you can say about waiting 10 hours at an airport, stamping a thousand bits of paper and handing over all your money to get a bike out of customs.

Somethings should be said though. Javier and Sandra from Dakar Motos are a godsend, it would never happen without them, and we cant thank them enough for thier time and patience guiding us through the process.. We left the hotel with the most amazing sunrise.

took a car to the airport then moved a lot of papers from one room to another until finally we got to the bikes.

We could put them back together , but then had to do a bit more paperwork !!

We finally got them out and loaded and tim sorted out his engine management light problesm ( i see this is going to be a recuring theme) and headed back to BA.

Not wishing to then start with the miriad of jobs, we still had to do, we parked our bikes in the hotel and went ouf for some pasta and a beer.

Tomorrow we leave and we still have some preparations to do !
