We woke to a gorgeous morning with views over the beautiful pine trees, heading down towards the lake. Because the campsite was not open and neither was the restaurant we were on our bikes early and heading into Bariloche to find somewhere to eat.

Tim had spotted somewhere the night before and so we followed the route to his restaurant. We had excellent coffee with avocado toast and media Luna with ham and cheese, then set off on a little tour around the lake District outside of Bariloche, and a somewhat of a surprise to me, but I am not so sure if Tim was as surprised, we ended up at a KTM shop. . Where Tim got very excited over cans of chain cleaner and chain lube.

We rode around the touristic road stopping often to take pictures that are well known from most poster books of this area of the world. The suburbs of Bariloche are probably some of the most primary real estate in Argentina With beautiful houses overlooking the lake amongst the forest and pine trees of the area. It truly is the most scenic place. I think I’ve ever been to .

As the time was approaching midday, we headed to our main destination for the day. The Patagonia, beer factory, which has its outlet in the most fabulous spot on the lake. Built in a very modern style out of wood and with veranda and balconies, extending towards the lake, it really does have the most amazing views in the area. Couple of this With a few pints of the local lager del Sol, with the sun shining the sky blue, and the mountains glistening. You really have set the scene for what was a fantastic afternoon.
We left very carefully on our motorbikes having filled our panniers with beer so we would not be in the same situation as last night. , We headed back to the campground.

We spent a wonderful evening with Toro, who made us the most fantastic asset, and we share our bears and wine. Things and got a little silly, and we also shared another bottle of wine and finally the whiskey.. While Toro Real us with local stories of his new buildings and his Winchester rifle. It was a spectacular funny evening. And when we won’t forget in a hurry.
